Licence & FAQ.

Plain English, no legal fog.

What this covers

This licence is for the sample packs sold on this site: Diskette Drum Breaks, Diskette Drums, ALL THE DRUMS and the free drum pack. It covers the sounds inside those packs, nothing else. The drum packs are royalty-free: you pay once, and I never ask for royalties or splits on your music.

It does not cover my music: my releases, beats and productions. You can’t sample, reuse or sync those without asking me first.

Tone Dialogues (with Sean Dream) is not royalty-free: it has its own licence, with splits for major placements. See the section below.

The details

One purchase is one licence for you, the buyer. If a team or a company wants to use the packs, each person needs a copy. Ask me if you need a different setup.

The drum sounds are mine, played and recorded by me. You keep the rights to what you make with them.

Tone Dialogues

Tone Dialogues is a melodic collection made with Sean Dream. It has its own licence, different from the drum packs.

The full licence, with the split guidelines, is in the READ FIRST file inside the pack. To clear a track, email me at simon@saitbeats.com and I’ll bring Sean in.

FAQ

Can I sell beats made with the drum packs?

Yes. Sell them, lease them, license them. Just don’t sell the sounds themselves.

Do I need to credit you?

No, never. But if you make something you’re proud of with the packs, a shout-out or a plug for my next release means a lot, and I’d love to hear it. Tag me on Instagram @saitbeats.

Can I use them in a sync placement or a major release?

Yes, for music you make with the drum packs. The licence covers it, no extra fee and no split. If it lands somewhere big, tell me about it! Tone Dialogues is different: major placements need a conversation and a split, see its section above.

Can I sample your songs or beats?

No, not under this licence. It only covers the sample packs. For my music, email me.

What about the free drum pack?

Same licence as the paid drum packs.

Is Tone Dialogues royalty-free?

No. You can use it freely in your music, but major placements need a conversation and a split. See the Tone Dialogues section above.

I have a problem with my download.

Email simon@saitbeats.com with the email you bought with and I’ll sort it out.

Bookings, collabs, anything else?

Same address: simon@saitbeats.com.
